If You Want to Help Our Soldiers...
I had hoped to find a website that was leading the way to fight for the release of our kidnapped soldiers, but mostly they were sites for sending petitions and asking for donations to help. They do help, but I was looking for something that was more proactive. Something that would put direct pressure everyday on our officials to act. becasue we KNOW that constant public pressure WORKS! It may not produce the results we want, but it definitely gets the politician's attention and they have to somehow deal with the issue, and can't put it on the back burner.
In any case, I did find some interesting things and I will post it here. Till I find more, let's try to do everything we can to help our kidnapped soldiers. Right now, as we are reading this, we have our soldiers either sitting in a cold dark cell, or G-d forbid being tortured for information. We are all sitting in front of our computers in heated homes, with food in our fridge, and our kids free and safe. I will probably ask you to do more, but for now, let's at least send a fax or make a phone call to the United Nations to press them to get word on our soldiers, whether they are dead or alive, whether they are hurt, etc. The israeli government cannot get in to see our soldiers but the UN and red cross can. Let's press them to do so!
Please follow the instructions (below) from the website: The Jewish Agency For Israel
(I have made adjustments in the text to include all three soldiers who were recently kidnapped)
Write to the United Nations, your elected officials, and local newspapers
In your letter please include the following information:
Headline – FREE GILAD SHALIT. FREE ELDAD REGEV, FREE EHUD GOLDWASSER
The instructions for the kidnapping and management of the operation come from the Hamas HQ in Syria. This is due to the safe haven that Syria offers the terrorist leaders.
The responsibility for Our soldiers wellbeing lies squarely with Syria and the Palestinian leadership headed by Hamas.
The international community must exert its full influence to obtain the release of ourkidnapped soldiers. This incident has the potential for bringing about a general deterioration of the regional situation.
The kidnappings took place on sovereign Israeli territory and constitutes a severe violation of international law.
A year ago Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip to allow the Palestinians to rebuild their lives and flourish. Unfortunately, extremist elements are trying to force the IDF to return to Gaza in order to perpetuate the cycle of violence and the suffering of the Palestinian population.

A Prayer to say for the kidnapped soldiers
Let's do this small token for them, and help to get them out of the terrorist's dens, and back home with their families.
