War Diary 1
We are watching the news now, all the time, and I mean, ALL the time. I was speaking to my sister in law who lives right near Haifa, and all of a sudden, I heard the air raid sirens go off in the back ground by her, and she had to hang up and run for shelter with her three children. She heard the 'booms' and has to run about 9 times a day to shelter from the Katyusha rockets coming her way. A man was killed just a mile away from her home outside in the street. So, as you can imagine, things here are very hectic and now Nasrallah says he will hit us with more rockets to cities deeper into Israel, south of Haifa. I have a room prepared for her and her husband and kids. Judea and Samaria used to be the place where some people wouldn't come to visit for fear of being shot on the roads by Arabs. Today, families from Israel are flocking here, and we have already absorbed numerous familes from the North. The country is uniting, as we usually do in war time. Bombs can fly, but it is still good to be in Israel. I am so glad I am here with my people, and wouldn't be anywhere else.

Your weblog is very interesting and will prove very useful. I noticed some comments about the "redemption". Redemption is found in a person not an action or series of actions.

Some people need to study to achieve a biblical understanding of redemption. If you don't have a Hebraic understanding, then all other notions are vain attempts at the truth. I'll take a Rabbi's comments. It is evident that with even a cursory understanding of the Tanach, it does appear that the Redemption of Israel is accelerating forward.

This is what struck me the most about this post. It is wonderful to know that the Jewish people are uniting in this difficult time. I hope this will be true in the future, regardless of the outcome of this current crisis. Judea and Samaria are still in danger, not only from Israel's enemies, but sadly from it's own government plans for future withdrawals, which if carried-out will uproot thousands more Jewish families from their homes, just as was done in Gush Katif. Families in Judea and Samaria have opened their hearts and their homes to families from the North during the past two weeks since this latest war began. Will Judea and Samaria meet the same fate as that of their brothers and sisters in Gush Katif, or will the Jews of Haifa, Tel Aviv, and the communities in the North, remember the kindness shown to them by the communities of Judea and Samaria and refuse to allow another tragedy like Gush Katif to be perpetrated against their fellow Jews? Only time will tell, but time is running out !!

Yes, 'Beyond the Green Line" could be a great movie! People have been carefully trained to believe the nonsense that only riff-raff live beyond this line, that it is Arab land anyway. Now they are flocking to this hitherto forbidden area. G-d has a strange sense of humor. I trust you will use this new unity to great advantage. Your lives depend on it.

I wish with all that is in me that I could be there! I've always wanted to be there, but never more than right now! I am glad you are writing blogs. I'm thrilled Jews are making aliyah despite what is going on! Baruch Hashem! I sent you my blogs also. Shmeri al atzmech! Shalom shalom. From the galut :*(, Emery.
